As from the 1st April 2006 Twynham Housing Association no longer holds the list for Shared Ownership. All applicants from people who are interested in purchasing a home through a Government scheme will be processed by Knightstone Housing Association, who were appointed as 'Homebuy Agents' for the Dorset area. Knightstone have named this part of their organisation 'My Place'

The benefit to an applicant is that you will only need to make one application for all developments being built or sold in the area of your choice, regardless of who the developing organisation is.

Although the Association no longer runs the scheme "from source" ocassionally lessees of shared ownership properties wish to dispose of their share.

Twynham Housing Association has over 170 shared ownership properties. If an exsisting shared owner is looking to sell their share they either have to give Twynham first refusal to purchase their share or give Twynham 6-8 weeks to nominate someone to buy their share. These options are dependant on when the share was first purchased.

Priority is always given to our own tenants because in this way we can free up one of our homes to rent for people on the Local Housing Register. If however, no one can be found from these categories all other applicants will be considered.
