Paying your rent

We need to make sure that everyone pays their rent in full and on time because we need this money to provide services to residents.

We have income recovery team who monitor rent accounts and other debts owed to us. Our former tenant arrears officer also chases debts owed by former tenants.

We will help you avoid getting behind with your rent by giving you lots of different ways to pay and by making it easy to get information about the payments you have made.

We work closely with the citizens advice bureau (CAB) and other support agencies. We fund a part time worker at the Christchurch CAB and this gives our residents priority appointments so you can get help more quickly. If you live in Christchurch you can go directly to the CAB for help but make sure you let them know your are a Twynham resident. Alternatively, contact your income recovery officer and we can refer you to Christchurch CAB for help.

If you do not pay your rent we will contact you promptly. We will talk to you about how you can clear the debt as quickly as possible.

If you fail to keep to any payment agreement, we will take formal action against you which could mean that you may lose your home.
