Gardening Competition 2007

Twynham organise an annual gardening competition open to all tenants and leaseholders. This is always a popular and successful event.

Gardening Competition Update

This year we have had some residents asking us if they can nominate someone for the gardening competition. The answer to this is yes you can! In fact we would like to encourage any of you who know someone with a garden that deserves recognition to let us know.

We know that some of you with beautiful gardens are too modest to tell us yourselves, so our staff will also be looking out for those of you too. This year we will be judging the competition differently.

We will simply take photos of all the gardens, either entered themselves or nominated by others. The photos will then be considered by a resident’s panel made up from the different active residents groups we have.

The photos will be numbered so that the identity of owners and area where they live will not be known to the judging panel until after the winners are chosen. We will be accepting nominations until Friday 17th August but we will try to visit any nominees as soon as we receive a nomination.

Would you be interested in joining a Gardening Interest Group with the possibility of arranging plant exchange events? This could involve exchanging surplus cuttings, plants and gardening tips with other gardeners.
