Community initiatives
We are very keen to get involved with the communities where we own and manage properties. Our Resident Involvement Officer works with representatives from all areas of the local community, including Christchurch Community Partnership, The Somerford Centre and various tenants and residents groups to come up with ideas that will positively benefit both our tenants and residents and the wider community.
We currently support the following initiatives:
Coastal and First Dorset Credit Unions
Credit Unions encourage people to save regularly and they are also an ideal way for our residents to avoid unscrupulous doorstep lenders who prey on those least able to afford their high loan rates.
We are helping our residents to get better access to safe low cost savings and loans by providing financial and other help where possible. Adults and children can become members. People are encouraged to save regularly and any profit is returned to them as a dividend.

The Somerford Centre
We are members of the stakeholders group at the Somerford Centre and currently hold weekly housing surgery drop-ins there.
Watermans Wheelpark
We have a representative on the board of Management of the Wheelpark.
